Is it too rainy to travel in peru in december? Besides, what vaccinations should I get?
I'm going to Peru 23 December through of January 9. Hiking Inca Trail 4 days of December 26. I have heard that this is the rainy season! Someone has been there in December / January? Moreover, I wonder what people recommend vaccinations. Do not think the plan to enter the jungle, but you never know who may decide to check that once we're there.
I've been in Peru in February, also considered one of the rainy season months. Cusco would be quite sunny in the morning and then get some rain in the evening. Just keep a little light rain gear with you and weight goretex boots and I think that is in good ear shape.I mudslides can be a problem sometimes only because they can close roads for a short time until they are cleaned. You will have a blast doing the Inca Trail. Traveling anywhere in Latin America is a good idea to have a hepatitis A vaccine. You not need any medicine against malaria in the mountains, there is no malaria mosquito to over 2500 meters. It seems it has already committed with the trip so do not worry and have a great adventure.
