Machu Picchu – Peru

High above the clouds in the Andean mountains of Peru establishes the legendary Inca city of Machu Picchu.

No Visitors to Peru once losing the incredible view of this mysterious city.

Hiram Bingham discovered Machu Picchu in 1911 with the help of local farmers. It is the most famous monument in South America. Shrouded in legend, the true purpose of Machu Picchu is still under much debate. Many contradictory explanations of its existence and the fact that it could not be found by the Spanish have emerged. One of the most popular explanations states that Machu Picchu was a kind of place royalty holiday Cusco. The Inca themselves, probably forgot it, so even the Spanish can not find the city more. To this day, cities still lost in the area. Choquequirao is another site recently and found many others still continue to elude explorers. The most famous of all is the Paititi, the City of Gold and the final withdrawal of the Incas.

No matter the amount of gold any of these places could be argued, is difficult to imagine that cities can Machu Picchu compete in beauty. Perched high in the Andean mountains, with breathtaking views of the Urubamba River valley and down and up Huayna Picchu, the beauty of Machu Picchu is hard to grasp. Upon entering the city for the first time, you can hear the sighs many visitors who are affected by the incredible view. The pictures can prepare you not for what they will experience. No wonder the city attracts many New Age people every day.

Machu Picchu is Peru's most popular attraction and probably also its most visited place, although he lives in a remote area can only be reached by train or bus or train and walk along the Inca Trail.
