What are the Nazca lines?

Not much can be said with any degree of certainty about the Nazca Lines, which is not your location and vague definition. Located in the Nazca desert in Peru, a series of geoglyphs be found. It is a tourist attraction in the region, with many trips Peru taking visitors to the site, and many theories proposed for its creation.

The geogylphs are composed of hundreds of images, covering a range of different designs. The images are from the flames, lizards, monkeys and snakes, hummingbirds, monkeys and sharks. The images are defined by lines on the ground, recorded from shallow where red pebbles have been scratched away, the discovery of the lightest, whitish below ground. If you want to see these designs great when on a holiday peru, will have to arrange to view these by air, as the images are too large to be seen on the ground.

It has been determined that the Nazca lines were created between 200 BC and 700 AD by a company in the desert of Nazca. What is particularly fascinating is the way these people were able to construct images on a large scale (large enough that it can only be seen from the air) without the aid of modern technological equipment.

The thoughts and theories

Many theories have been put forward regarding the creation of the Nazca Lines, but there is no concrete evidence to confirm any particular theory. Although you can not solve the riddle of his trip to Peru, visiting the region at least bring these theories to life.

One of the things that most scholars are willing to agree, is that the Nazca Lines, you probably have some kind of religious significance to which created. Precisely what this has meant is the subject of debate, however.

Some believe that the Nazca people designed these huge patterns that could communicate with the gods in heaven, while others believe that the lines are paths leading to sacred places of worship of the gods of water. A holiday in Peru allows you to walk these paths yourself, where you can worship the gods of water, or simply marvel at their surroundings.

Theories about how the lines were also been postulated. One of the central points of debate is how the Nazca people were able to create designs that could not have been entirely on land, and without modern tools. Some theorize that used hot air balloons, but this with the support of virtually no evidence. It is generally accepted that people Nazca using simple tools and surveying equipment, supported by the finding of a wooden stake at the end of one of the lines.

A conspiracy theorist Opinion

mysterious markings such as these lend themselves to conspiracy theories. Just talking to local people when on a holiday Peru probably give you much idea of these theories. Conspiracy theorists have invented beliefs involving the Illuminati plans for world domination, and airstrips extraterrestrial spacecraft. But the best way to explore such beliefs is to ask your guide when on a tour of Peru.
