The Peruvians are buses available to all young people?
I will be visiting Peru this summer and want to go to some remote villages, such as San Pedro de Casta. Can I take a bus there? Or will I have to draw one or hire someone or get a car?
San Pedro de Casta is approximately 48 miles inland from Lima, and only 2 kilometers further on Marcahuasi. Because of the altitude, it is not advisable to go from Lima in a day acclimation or at least one night in San Pedro. It takes three hours to climb to the site. Take a bus from Lima to Chosica, minibuses to Chosica can be collected from Arica in the Plaza Bolognesi (U.S. $ 0.75, it takes two hours). Then ask the San Pedro Municipal Transport, which leaves from Chosica Echenique Park at 9 am and 3 pm (U.S. $ 1.50, takes four hours).
