Who knows about the Nazca Lines and Paracas Bay and the Islands?

I have traveled to more places in Peru, but I'm still missing the area where the Nazca Lines are the Paracas Bay and the nearby islands of Ica, and all there is to do in the area south Chico. Can someone please tell me? I'm going on my own I do not want to take a tour, but I want to do on my own. Thanks.

Hello, I can help you with the information you need. I've been to Ica (Paracas, Ica and Nazca) 3 times. I went there with some friends and had a blast! Upon arrival in Lima, or stay in a hotel or go directly to the bus station on Avenida Javier Orme Prado. Do not go to the bus station in downtown Lima, it could be dangerous. Once at the bus station, buy a ticket Lima-Paracas in Royal Class service is comfortable but not expensive. Will have only 3 hours. You can not stay at any hotel in Paracas, be sure to choose a safe. My favorite is the Libertador Reserva Natural Paracas (http://www.libertador.com.pe/paracas.php). It's a bit expensive, but the view is beautiful and the food is excellent! Unfortunately, the earthquake damaged the hotel, and reopening next year. In Paracas can hire the Ballestas Islands tour. That will take you on a boat to see the Chandela and Ballestas Islands. Take time to visit Paracas Museum, shows very interesting ancient pottery and mummies. You can also take great pictures of the Bay of Paracas. Paracas, you can also take Orme bus to Ica. It is only 1 hour away. In Ica you can visit the Huacachina Lagoon, which is really an oasis in the desert. You can also sandboarding in Ica dunes near Hotel Las Dunas. From Ica can take a bus to Nazca, which lasts 4 hours. In Nazca you can hire the overflight Nazca Lines, which costs about $ 60. I do not recommend doing the flyby of Ica, and that takes 30 minutes to reach the lines, and once the aircraft is above the lines of the rough movements can make you feel sick, and it gets worse. So if you feel very sick, have to wait another 30 minutes to reach earth. So it's best to take Nazca flight because it is cheaper and safer for the stomach (Trust me, I've seen people who are green during the flyby) There are other lines less known than the Nazca Lines, called Palpa lines. You can fly both. Hope you have a great experience in Peru. It is my beloved country, and I would back there this year.
