Glasgow is Scotland's largest and third most populous in the United Kingdom. Situated on the River Clyde in west central lowlands of Scotland. The city is known for being home to Europe's top 20 financial centers and many other companies. In fact, it was ranked the 57th most livable city in the world.
Glasgow is renowned for its shopping areas of Argyle Street, Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street. In fact, the area is known as the largest mall in the United Kingdom and many people travel great distances just to spend the day shopping here easpecially around Christmas, when the city is full of emotion and beautifully decorated. The latest addition to the indoor shopping malls in Glasgow called The Buchanan Galleries. It is one of the largest malls in the UK and has many names large retailers such as Gap, Levi's and John Lewis. Another popular shopping area called Buchanan Street Princes Square. This is the area where the lovers of designer clothing come to buy, as it includes names such as Calvin Klein, Hugo and Lacoste. There are many cultural attractions in this area, and the Teatro Real, which is home to the Scottish Opera.
The world's tallest cinema, called Cineworld, also in Glasgow, and four institutions of higher education. One of the attractions Popular in Glasgow called The Tall Ship which is a separate museum devoted to preserving and interpreting the maritime history of the area.
Attraction popular tourist called George Square, which dates back to 1781. Named after King George III. The centerpiece of the square is a column of 80 meters high, is crowned by a statue of the poet and novelist Sir Walter Scott. There are other statues around the square draw visitors including Robert Burns and Lord Clyde.
For Sports fans, Valencia has many opportunities for that too. Football is the most popular sport in the city at the moment. In fact, there are two rival teams known in the city called for the Rangers and Celtic. There are also 80 golf courses in the area and many public tennis courts as well.
Glasgow is a city of tradition history and entertainment. There are many modern attractions to see and do like shopping, opera, shows and festivals. Of course, if history is your hobby then Glasgow has plenty to offer from a historical perspective. The architecture and museums in the area offer a wealth of information for the amateur history.
