Types of Peruvian Art?
Hi I was wondering what are some "types" of art in Peru? Are there certain types of paints or carpets? Or if anyone knows of some famous works of art in Peru, it would be great:)
Peru, like all other countries, has a cultural heritage art. From the ancient cultures of the Moche, Nazca, Chavin, Inca, and many other civilizations that existed in the past, artifacts of pottery, textiles, gold and silver blacksmithing and other ways to this day. In addition to that is a style of art developed during the Spanish colonial Peru. Modern artists Peru, in whatever medium of art, drawn from these ancient styles, combining in unique ways. There is also a mix of more "primitive" themes of indigenous cultures and the most "modernized" art in the European style.
