There are no speed limits in Peru?
Is it true that on rural roads and roads in Peru are not published or reached the retirement speed? I've heard this somewhere, but wanted to confirm with someone who lives there or is familiar with this.
There are speed limits. The majority of 90 km / h (55 mph) and 100 km / h (62 mph). But there is little evidence of displaced persons, and are always ignored. Most drivers are among 75mph/120kph and 120mph/193kph. Driving and being a pedestrian is dangerous in Peru. Drivers ignore all rules, and police rarely enforce the rules, even drunk drivers who are ignored by the police. In fact, people do not have to take / pass any safety test to obtain a license. Even simple things, such as lane markings are ignored, this is especially true in Lima.
