What is the best country to visit in South America with a child in tow?

I take my 10 year old daughter to South America during few months. Originally I was thinking of Peru, Bolivia or Ecuador, but now I'm thinking more in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay perhaps purely on the security aspect. Any advice? We both love animals and would like to see as much wildlife as possible. Colonial architecture, beautiful scenery and low prices are also important. But as I said security is paramount, because of my daughter. Thank you.

Hello, as you mentioned that I loved wildlife in Iguazu Falls, I think it would be a great place to visit, especially with a child, although I've never been there. A lot of wildlife there. There http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iguazu_Falls http://gosouthamerica.about.com/od/topdestiguazu/a/photogallery.htm are "tours" that include packet bus / hotels / travel, which I think are expensive. Uruguay-s' where I live, I think there will EGA and their prices are reasonable. In http://www.egakeguay.com/ http://www.deconsultas.com/dc2008/programasext.php?id=2302&ide=12 my country there is not much wildlife, but it is the colonial architecture, however, and is a fairly safe. Colonia del Sacramento is a small historic town that can enjoy with a child. You can get from Montevideo (2 1 / 2 hours by bus) or from Buenos Aires (1 hour by ferry). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonia_del_Sacramento http://wiki.worldflicks.org/colonia_del_sacramento.html # coords = (-34.4681, 20-57.8408%) & z = 13 and you may want to go to Buenos Aires to see this great city. Y if you go to Buenos Aires, you may want to go for the day for the "Museo de La Plata," La Plata being a city of 50 min. south of Buenos Aires. This is a great museum natural history (fossils, etc.) that you and your daughter can enjoy. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Plata_Museum Some other links I found: Hope http://www.allaboutsouthamericatravel.com/south-america-highlights-wildlife.htm http://www.allaboutsouthamericatravel.com/south-america-highlights-cities.htm this helps —————- Regarding the visit to Iguazu Falls from Montevideo I found with this other link to prices at the bottom. http://www.deconsultas.com/dc2008/programasext.php?id=3794&ide=12
