Cusco for two or three days

Cusco is nothing less than a charming and beautiful city with irritation. Set deep in the Andes, this is really one of the world's gems. Infamous for once be the heart of the Inca Empire, then taken as a Spanish colony in this city is rich in culture, history and delicious kitchen. It is recommended that all tourists who spend at least a few days here to wander the streets and check out some of the great museums here before going to visit Machu Picchu, the jungle, the west coast of Puno.

If you have only two or three days in Cusco, we recommend that you spend your first day on a tour of the city Cusco. These guided tours in their native language takes you through the Plaza de Armas, or main plaza, where you will see the Cathedral and the main meeting place for premises to hang out in. Then, after the mountain to the sites of Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Each site had a different reason logistics for the construction and learn a little about each before descending to the valley to return to your hotel.

During the night if not too tired, you can go to the main area of the city to address some of the restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs, all within a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas. On days two and three, is up a little early and jump into a journey through the Sacred Valley. There are a number of trips, some dealing with the Pisac market and the military post infamous Ollantaytambo where Manco Inca Yupanqui and his men made late attempts to defeat the Incas Spanish.

Other excursions include a visit to Chinchero Maras Moray and the salt. Chinchero is a cute town with its own Inca terraces, a quaint but beautiful church and a tour of good information about the weaving techniques of the local crafts. It will show the process of spinning the llama and alpaca wool, cleaning, killing himself and then can be woven. You will continue to see the wonder Maras and Moray farm. This coliseum has numerous microclimates and structure of agriculture within it providing an opportunity for the Inca to produce a large variety of supplies at each location. Finally we visit the salt mines, where natural springs take salt from the interior of the mountain in a cascade of 'pots' for the salt and then be harvested under the hot sun.

Your other option is a bit more but includes a visit to the archaeological site of Tipon, with an impressive backdrop of the Andes. Then visit the city of Wari Piquillajta, which was in the first century, the capital of the Wari Empire. The different architecture is well preserved and still preserves much of its original features. Before returning back to Cusco we will stop in the small town of Andahuaylillas, where the "Sistine Chapel of the stands of the Andes. A chapel was built with a mixture of Christian symbols and Quechua, the intricate detail of this amazing chapel frescoes rated in line with the works of European masters.

If venturing into the Sacred Valley is not your cup of tea, there are hundreds of things to do within the city. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed with endless activities you can participate in during your visit to Cusco.
