Which way is east of Machu Picchu, Peru?
I'm trying to figure out which mountain / hiking trail that person was when I took this picture of Machu Picchu? Http: / / en.wikipedia.org / wiki / Image: Peru_Machu_Picchu_Sunrise_2.jpg I would like to tour the area, but I choose the path that leads me to this point, where I see this point of view of Machu Picchu.
This photo was not taken from the path that was taken from a site in the actual ruins. Arriving at the ruins through the front door (beyond the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge), you can upload to your left for a cabin that has an open side and a thatched roof, near a strange looking rock that kinda looks like a boat. That was the image was taken. If you enjoy hiking, you can do the Inca trail (the view from the sun entering portal on the road is very nice) or you can Choquequirao (a sister ruins of Machu Pichhu, a little less known).
