On 23 January 2006, Dennis L. Siluk, poet, and author of nine books of poetry, who is married to a Peruvian woman was appointed by resolution of the Mayor, Jesus Vargas Homepage rraga, Poet Laureate of the City, for their work (and contributions) in the promotion of Peruvian culture, and their city and country, to include Mantaro Valley, beyond the Andes (which has about 1.5 million inhabitants) with the two books, "Poems of Peru, a" (in the traditions and customs) and "The Spell of the Andes" (on the mountains around the Mantaro Valley, Huancayo, and in particular, the legend of Catalina Wanka, of St. Jerome, and the legend of Laguna de Paca, awarded by the mayor of the city, Jesus Vargas Homepage rraga (and the OSG).

Dennis has completed a new book, "poetic images of Peru," (based on the beauty of everyday life in Peru, from Lima to Huancayo, San Jerónimo, where we talk about the legendary Avelinos, which will go to the press in the coming weeks and will be available in English and Spanish, as Peruvian poetry books, available at bookstores and on many websites, such as BN, Amazon, alibis and Abe, etc., dedicated to the city and its mayor.

He has also completed a book, two poems in the Mantaro Valley in it (the most beautiful and sought the day came off the press), a limited edition of 50 copies, of which the adobe church, San Sebastian de San Jerónimo, the 16th century, is his work of art in post Cover (Dennis has most of his own art work, took a prize in l965, the 2nd place as an artist in San Pablo), a number of copies will be sent to mayor of San Jeronimo. This booklet is not for sale, and only nineteen copies left. The book is more a complement to the city of Jerome, for the recognition of their work.

He has also made a first book: Outside Â'Poems Minnesota CALLEDAS "A" "last fall and winter, an 'he lives in Minnesota and Peru, but as of this writing will be, perhaps living in Peru, most of Minnesota and obtaining dual citizenship, I hope.
