When you want to go Inca trail trekking in and through the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes and Intipunku (The Sun Gate) you have many different options open to you as far as which Guided Tour Company you are going to choose and how long you will be there. The world famous Inca trail spans quite a distance and covers some of the most beautiful and mountainous terrain in the world. Most of the terrain of the Inca trail Peru is so rugged that it can only be traversed on foot (which makes for a rather long and wonderful trek) that will show you beauty and sights that you could never have imagined ever existing.
Are you looking to enjoy all there is to see when you are Inca trail trekking? You have so many different options open to you that you might mot be able to choose. You need to be aware that the many different tour services that are offering guides and guided tours of the Inca trail generally do not offer tours in the month of February. Why this is, is not known to this writer at the moment. The Inca trail Peru leads you to the magical and mystical Incan capital city of Machu Picchu, which is a place that you are going to really be amazed by the skill and sheer resourcefulness that the Inca had when they built their building and their empire as a whole.
If you are truly serious about Inca trail trekking and seeing the very best, most pristine and powerful country that is out there to be enjoyed, you had better be prepared to spend several hours walking to get from one place to another along the Inca trail. There are many miles of trail to cover each day that you need to be totally prepared for in advance. When you are starting out each day on the Inca trail Peru you need to remember to have plenty of water to drink, good suitable walking shoes and suitable clothing that will keep you both protected in direct sunlight and cool enough as the temperature does tend to get rather hot in Peru (it is an equatorial country after all). You also need to make sure that you are in good enough physical shape to even consider tackling a trek like this.
For some people there is no better way to get a look at and feel for the past as they will get while Inca trail trekking. There are many people who may not realize that Machu Picchu is actually one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites for the fact that it is/was the capital of the Incan empire and also an archeological site of huge importance. Those who decide that they are going to hike/trek the Inca trail to the citadel of Machu Picchu are not going to be disappointed in any way, unless you set such high expectations of yourself that you cannot meet them. Trekking the Inca trail Peru is certainly something to be experienced.
