Hello! I am looking to travel to South America in 2011. We want to leave in January or February and the visit?
following countries, if possible: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay and Venezuela. We also want to be in Brazil for the Rio Carnival which begins March 4 to March 6. The most likely 2-4 of us that goes with a budget around large and each one would like to spend as much time as possible to see as many things as possible without precipitating 8-10. We live Vancouver in Canada and are wondering where the best place to start this trip and if anyone would could help me with a sample itinerary of a journey that has made it would be really apprecriated! I'm searching online, for example, routes but not having much luck! thank you very much!
I'm from Brazil and let me tell you … Carnival is good, but is NOT a "friendly place" … Please stay in good hotels and away from strangers who are too "hanging" in the streets. Especially if you go to Rio or Sao Paulo. Good luck!
