Travel insurance for existing conditions and dangerous activities?
Hi I am looking for travel insurance (I'm in the UK) to cover me hazardous activities, (I'm planning to do the Inca Trail in Peru next year, which is hiking over 2000 m.) with what is classified as a condition existing medical, and he broke his ankle and tore ligaments in this year, but we obviously need the ankle covered if I am walking! Does anyone have any ideas? I can not find companies to cover one or the other but not both! Thanks in advance!
How much time is between the ankle fracture and travel? Try going to an insurance broker and ask if there is any company that will cover after that time. Perhaps there is a company that will cover if you pay a higher premium high? Can you get a "fitness" certificate from your doctor – it might help.
