Portrush, located on the famous coastline of the Causeway, is recognized as a center for Northern Ireland's most popular seaside. Each year thousands of visitors travel and stay in Portrush.
Accommodation
Portrush has an excellent selection of accommodation making it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful coast of Ireland North. There are about forty hotels, hostels and bed & breakfasts to choose from. Many of them have rooms with great sea views. The Ramada Hotel Central is one of the hotels newest and largest and most popular. Some cottages, holiday homes and apartments are also available.
Portrush has extensive caravan parks, found near the sea and beaches. Family size static caravans are available for rent and they provide a good opportunity to know the north Irish residents on vacation. room reservations can be made online, although some smaller companies only accept reservations by telephone.
Services
Important services are seen at Portrush. Ulster Bank (RBS) and Northern Bank have branches in the city. Also, hairdressers, pharmacies, two beauty salons, a spa in the guest house and Adelphi excellent dentist! Emergency services are on-call doctor and local Council based on the outskirts of Coleraine.
Travel
Portrush travel can be an enjoyable experience! Translink operate the trains and buses Belfast and Derry Londonderry / on a regular schedule. Driving along the Causeway Coastal Route Belfast, awards a wonderful experience from the coast. A more direct route, but nice Moreover, it is possible through the M2, A26 and A29 to Portrush Road. Excellent roads are also available in Derry / Londonderry A515 / 2, Sligo and Dublin N15/13 M1/A1.
Numerous budget and business class flights arrive daily in Northern Ireland across the world. Tourist information and the rental cars are available at each airport.
Belfast International Airport, the largest airport in Northern Ireland, is 46 miles from Portrush, about 70 minutes drive. Belfast City Airport is 62 miles from Portrush, about 90 minutes by car. City of Derry Airport, a smaller airport, is 28 miles Portrush, about 50 minutes by car. Dublin Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Ireland, is 156 miles from Portrush, having approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes by car.
