Renewing green card stamp I-551 have?
Hello, I am a permanent resident of 17 years. My green card expired two years ago, but one reason or another, my parents never went to renew my green card. I know that USCIS is not penalized because of the length of time that I expected renewal – but anyway – at present, my parents did not have enough money to pay the application fee for a green card. However, I am planning a trip in March Peru. I wondered if I had to apply to renew my green card in order to have an I-551 stamp placed on my Panamanian passport valid? In addition, I must add that not apply for a waiver. Thanks for the response of their responses.
You can not receive or qualify for a temporary seal test permanent residence unless they file a Form I-90. So, yes, you must request a renewal of their residence permit in order to have an I-551 stamp placed in your passport.
