Peru. Rainforest or Western interests. Which should prevail?

Some time ago sold out President Suharto of Indonesia tropical forests to foreign logging companies to increase their incomes. The Peruvian government now plans to do the same in the Amazon forests, arguing that indigenous peoples are not primitive savages and should not get in the way of progress. The tribes have been armed with wooden spears and are now attacking the Peruvian armed police gun support trucks to companies that have purchased the rights to their lands by the Government that have been nationalized and privatized. However, these tribes are sitting on oil, mineral and timber reserves that could be exploited and badly needed in the West and China, especially once the economy recovers.
