Spice Peru to make yellow rice?
I'm looking for a spice that was apparently sold in Peru. I'm not sure if you can find U.S. or not. I tried this rice at a girlfriends house about 8 years. She was Peruvian, and was living in Canada at the time. Rice did, he said this spice to it, which was yellow, and an egg fried in olive oil and put it on top of the heaping pile of rice on a plate. It was absolutely wonderful. What she considered a poor meal or flour of poor people in Peru, since it does not cost much to buy rice, some eggs and spices this. Anyone happen to know this spice? Anyone know where to get it? Anyone know the complete recipe? Thanks in advance!
