Traveling to Peru?
My husband and I are traveling to Peru in a couple of weeks at most major cities – Lima, Cusco, Puno and Lake Titicaca. I was wondering if I needed this – converter mosquito repellent and electricity. If you need a power converter, where I can get one? Also, I know some Spanish, enough to get me, but I carry a Spanish-English dictionary? Thanks for your help!
When not in the jungle, mosquito repellent is probably not too necessary. I have never used a power converter in Peru to myself, but can be purchased in section Walmart travel. A Spanish-English dictionary can not hurt, there are plenty of rare words that had been thought to memorize before you need it. Some of them never travel to other needs in Peru are: toilet paper (not usually provided in public toilets), water bottle with water purification labels (you can get at any sporting goods store), a flashlight without batteries, batteries for cameras and other things because they are very expensive there and sunscreen (not so much in the ozone layer and the mountains will burn even on cold cloudy days!) Have fun!
