What does the shield peruivian (the symbol in the center of the flag) represents count please help a project for tomorrow
The flag is red-white-red (vertical stripes) and these colors came from Peru or Pariguanas Flemish when San Martín (who fought for independence) saw them flying in the sky of the Bay of Paracas. Red symbolizes the blood shed in the war of independence, White symbolizes peace. The shield in the center represent the three kingdoms: mineral, vegetable and animal. The vegetable kingdom is represneted by the cinchona tree (or tree of quinine), the kingdom animal is represented by the vicuña and the mineral kingdom is represented by a cornucopia filled with coins of Golgo. The current Peruvian flag is the third designed, the first had diagonal stripes, horizontal in the second (much like the Spanish flag so that you threw away) and the third one with vertical lines.
