I
In the silence and
forever, I stayed
on a mountaintop
Where many were before,
and blue and gold
yellow gold were the
skya clouds over …
was surprising, as a
fog, wrapped, dropped
the mountaintop
like a lake
marble angels standing
celebrated as the ruby stone
Heavener's in hand.
And there I saw
and that He rose in his grace,
stars on her beautiful face,
and where he came
There was no sign.

words,
issued in the love of Christ.
Right, just as she was
Venus of the sky,
starlight in her eyes;
weak with the view
I leaned on a rock
I listened to my soul,
music provided (somewhere)
the unknown ….
It was as if she was
in a quiet shrineÂ
and he sent his gaze
Â-who descended
completely the mountaintop;
Then he sent
your soul …
to the small town
called Sapallanga —
Silver Heavener below the breasts
(and SOA, now
tolda legend is …).
Notes: # 1459 (9/12/2006) At the top of the mountain called San Cristobal, near the town-let called Sapallanga, about ten miles from Huancayo, Peru, in the Mantaro Valley, twenty children in the 1820s saw a vision of the Virgin Mary the Mother of Christ, therefore sinceÂ-once a year a festival is held in his honor and special for that to happen.
The Chutes parade through the streets of this small village, with the chonguinada as cutting, slicing, and reduce their whips as the protectors of these dancers, as the festival lasts for about three days.
Poem: dedicated Sapallanga Mayor Luis Alberto Perez Peralta, who was kind enough to welcome and accompany my wife and me around town and inform me of the legend, and point to the mountain and its pilgrims to climb to the top of the small church to pay tribute to the event (and special thanks to Lily Unchupaico, on his visit to the Fiesta).
