Which one lies farther north: Ecuador or Peru?
On a Mercator Projection map, Ecuador does appear to be farther north, but my teacher said that a glitch with the projection causes it to look like that. (He cited a National Geographic quiz.)
Equador, your teacher is wrong. You can easily tell on any map because they’re both in an area of minimal distortion since they’re right on the equator. Equador is seen obviously higher by miles and miles.
