What is the best way to get an ESL job in Peru?

I'm living in Costa Rica, have become TEFL certified and am teaching a nonprofit here for the summer America. I want to go to Peru in February to start the school year there. The cities that attracts me a lot in research are Trujillo and Chiclayo. Cusco seems awesome too, but all my clothes are from a warmer climate. I sent my resume to several places, but have received only response of 2, waiting to hear again, the thinking has been a couple of weeks. If someone could send some information my way about good places to find work and how to do things in terms of sound work culture, ways to find roommates or apartments in these cities (craigslist has nothing) or whatever information you think might benefit from knowing whether it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To be honest, those are the small towns Lima should consider where you will have better paid, and will be easier way to get roommates. I've never had a roommate in Peru so I do not know too much, you should go to a good neighborhood. the best way to go would be to rent a room in a house. go to the yellow pages of Peru (http://www.paginasamarillas.com.pe/) and look for ESL institutes in cities (I'm afraid it's in Spanish!) then try to contact them, other than that, in Lima many as ICPNA (Www.icpna.edu.pe), the British Peruvian Institute (www.britanico.edu.pe) people do not use craigslist as they do in the U.S., which does not help … perhaps the Embassy U.S. in Peru have any information? (Lima.usembassy.gov) Oh! rooms for rent, try searching on the ads in the local newspaper (http://clasificados.elcomercio.pe/macro/In-Home.asp) habitacions search (rooms) have a safe trip and I hope you enjoy Peru: D
