Easter in Peru?
I’m going to be in Peru during the easter celebrations, probably in Cuzco. Can someone tell me please if its actually fun to be there during that time? Will everything be closed? Will there be much to do for a backpacker during this time?
I know Cuzco will have a “Our Lord of Earthquakes” procession on Easter Monday. Will Easter weekend itself be quiet though?
Thanks!!
Easter is pretty fun here in Peru. Everyone travels, especially to cuzco cause is the best weather to do caminos del inca. Actually “el seƱor de los milagros” which i think you mean by calling the lord of earthquakes, is celebrate in the month of octuber.
Easter is not a quiet weekend at all here in Peru. as I said before people take the weekend to do internal traveling.
