What currency are obtained from cash machines in South America?
What currency are obtained from ATMs in America South? I am traveling to Peru and Chile and would like to know if you get dollars U.S. or other local currencies at ATMs there. The reason that we ask is that an effective travel card that I have been looking at only uses the euro and U.S. dollar so just going to apply for is that I can use to withdraw dollars when I'm in Peru. Yep. The local currency. The only time I think I've retired U.S. dollars is in the countries that officially use the dollar as local currency (eg, Ecuador, Panama). Have fun!
