The oldest civilization of ancient India is?
In the year 2002 seems to have been a significant archaeological discovery made by accident facing the Gulf of Cambay. Since then I have not found any mention of what has been done of the results. Was there anything done this sunken city which was dated 9000-10000 years old? You would think that something of this magnitude would shift the world of archeology in the head. But has not yet been informed. I was impressed to see a documentary about a 5000 more ancient ruins in Peru Caral few years ago, making it the oldest Native American settlement to date. But even Cambay feel so far away in ancient times to the people of Caral in ancient Egypt it feels to us today. So why all the silence silence? Documentary references Caral Peru http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/horizon/2001/caral.shtml http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/1763950.stm http:// www Cambay .newscientist.com / article.ns? id = dn1808 http://www.hermetics.org/cambay.html
Cambay city (probably IVC) is looking for 50/50 at the moment. There are no real objects have been dredged so far. The 'Ceramics' has come to exactly the same age of the sediments, making it very possible that it is not really pottery, clay accretion only. http://mathildasanthropologyblog.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/the-oldest-ceramic-objects/ Knowing what to do with the spread of city building in agriculture in the region is really not likely to be so old. There have been plenty of collapse ground due to earthquakes along this piece of coastline. So a city submerged in reality could be built after the Ice Age. His most likely Ice Age cities on the eastern side of India, as the IVC people seemed to be part of Indo-European expansion in Turkey and the expansion did not begin until the ice age was ending. No case better for the existence of a city was ice outside SE India, Mahabalipuram. A http://mathildasweirdworldweblog.wordpress.com/2008/05/21/the-lost-city-of-mahabalipuram/ Jomon ice age civilization of Okinawa has a lot more going for the Cambay site. The http://mathildasweirdworldweblog.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/the-drowned-temple-off-the-coast-of-japan/ oldest ceramics are manufactured to the Far East, rice grains (about 16k) and also raising a similar date are emerging in Korea. This makes it more likely that the construction of the city began in early Far East. http://mathildasweirdworldweblog.wordpress.com/2008/05/19/the-how-and-why-of-drowned-cities/ However, there is a stone temple 11,500 years old, with 13,000 statue of years in Turkey (proto Indo-Europeans, in Gobekli Tepe). So you're in the culture from western Turkey, about 15,000 years ago (aceramic) and the outward expansion of Turkey about 10,000 BP. As I said, people were an IVC Turkish branch of this expansion, so unlikley to have built any cities of Cambay in the ice age. http://mathildasanthropologyblog.wordpress.com/2008/05/09/the-worlds-oldest-stone-temple-gobekli-tepe/ http://mathildasanthropologyblog.wordpress.com/2008/06/19/correcting-a- few-myths-about-the-revolution-Neolithic /
