Why South Americans are never called Americans?
ask: P (i American means: Argentina Peru, etc) I remember when I was young was a shock to see that the U.S. did'nt consists of all America, but only half of North America
Is a question of distinction and it was probably just easier to call the United States, Americans. A person from Canada that is called a Canadian and some one from Mexico is a Mexican and a representative of Peru called Peru and Chile is a Chilean form and a representative of the United States of America
