Visit the jungle of Iquitos, Peru and Manu, Peru?
I am on a strict budget. I've been checking and it seems that both have pros and cons, but Iquitos can fly at very low cost or even hiking and sleeping in hostels in Iquitos for about $ 400. However, Manu seems to be a nightmare to reach all stays and appears to cost about $ 1000. Does anyone have any idea?
I think that Sergio gave a great response. Just wanted to add that, although I Manu state, I went to Iquitos this year and loved it. It's really easy to navigate, and people are very friendly. Our taxi driver from the airport in Iquitos, in reality took us everywhere and stopped at a number of hotels where employees allowed us to see the rooms of the sample until we decide on our favorite. I'm saying that all taxi drivers will, but is just one example of how useful people. The prices are very fair, too – If at the end will try to ask for the names of some well known neighborhood restaurants (to be able to save some money and try different things this way). Iquitos my boyfriend and I bought a package tour and remained in the Heliconia Lodge along the Amazon. It's so impressive, and again I have to presume the incredible food, wildlife and people. I think I paid about $ 400 for the entire trip – including airfare to and from the package and Heliconia (3 days, 2 nights with expeditions, meals and lodging). .. Any extra thing as an overnight in Iquitos or extra food was not included, but prices remain very affordable. I hope this helps and have fun in any of Manu and Iquitos! Stay safe!
