Richard Griffiths, director or Ethical Trade spoke with Leading Colombian media outlet LA W radio regarding his projects to improve the Colombia Image through social programs.

The topics of the interview included Ethicals trades image enhancement programs in New York City, Boston, Chicago, Seattle and San Fransisco as well as cocoa projects in Arauca a highly vunerable sector in Colombia’s north west sector.
Colombia,
Colombia is bordered on the northwest by Panama, on the east by Venezuela and Brazil, and on the southwest by Peru and Ecuador. Through the western half of the country, three Andean ranges run north and south. The eastern half is a low, jungle-covered plain, drained by spurs of the Amazon and Orinoco Rivers, inhabited mostly by isolated tropical-forest Indian tribes. The fertile plateau and valley of the eastern range are the most densely populated parts of the country.
The country has undergone significant changes under the leadership of President Alvaro Uribe. Colombia has developed a strong program to improve its image through social programs and direct action programs funded by the Colombia Government.
Future of Colombia through education
As stated during his interview Richard Griffiths focused on the significant number of social program within the Country. The use of social marketing is one of Colombians most important tools and should be used to reach the global market.
Richard Griffiths, has been working with the Floral indusry, major Universities and Government agencies to improve the image of Colombia. To date, through Richard’s programs Colombia has been featured on CNN, NY Times, Wall Street Journal and many other important media outlets ” The increase in positive media surrounding Colombia is the first step in a long road for Colombia”, I am glad to be a part of it.
